Molly was born in Pennsylvania and started working professionally as a teenager at Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. Her first production as a professional was The Snow Queen. After that, Molly played Little Red Ridinghood for the Arden Theater s Into the Woods and was nominated to win a Barrymore Award. She went on to reprise her role as Little Red Ridinghood when she made her Broadway debut at 15 in Into the Woods on Broadway in 2002. She was also nominated for a Drama League Award. Molly also performed as a character in Fiddler on the Roof, the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof in 2004. After graduating of Princeton University, where she was awarded the degree of B.A. with a major in religion, and was a Triangle Club member, Molly attended Princeton University. She graduated in 2008 with an B.A. In the same time frame she debuted in the role of Wendy Greenhut in Disney's College Road Trip. Molly was able to begin her professional career after graduating with Off-Broadway performances, which included End Days and The Wonderful Maladys at HBO Pilot. Molly was a part of numerous regional plays, among them The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee performed by Barrington Stage Company in 2008 as well as the North Shore Music Theatre's The Diary of Anne Frank in 2010.
